It looks like we’ll have at least 12 public holidays in the UAE this year, with an additional day off if Ramadan is a 30-day month this year. The first long break of the year will be for Eid Al Fitr which comes after the month of Ramadan at the beginning of the Islamic Hijri calendar month of Shawwal. The first day of Ramadan is just after the 29th or the 30th day of Shaaban and is subject to moon sighting.
