There are a total of five different ayats which mention Ramadan in the Quran. Here they are in Arabic with the English translation. 1. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ. Surah Baqarah Ayah 183. Ramaḍân is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramaḍân˺. The Quran, being the ultimate source of guidance for Muslims, explicitly mentions the month of Ramadan in Surah Al-Baqarah: 1. Revelation of the Quran. “The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.” Here are the primary verses related to Ramadan and fasting: 1. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183) – Obligation of Fasting. 2. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:184) – Flexibility in Fasting. 3. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:185) – The Month of Ramadan and Revelation of the Quran. 4. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186) – Allah’s Nearness in Ramadan. 5. Ramadan commemorates the revelation of the Quran and coincides with Laylat al-Qadr, or the Night of Power, described as: لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍۢ تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن Which Surah is Ramadan Mentioned In?
