So the idea I have is Moon sighting Vs calculation . Way 1: look for moon sighting on the 29th of Shabaan which is today. If you see the moon, Ramadan 1st is the next day (Tuesday). If you don't, the next day (Wednesday) is Shabaan 30 and Ramadan will be on the day following (Thursday). Way 2: you use the scientific method where it doesn't matter if you see it or not.
