Create opportunities for communities to meet, share, and learn from one another. Over 50% of Open Iftar guests reported an increased understanding of Ramadan. We are looking for volunteers in the following UK cities: Belfast, Birmingham, Blackburn, Bradford, Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Dundee, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, West Bromwich and Windsor. London General Volunteer (CLOSED) Muslim Aid’s annual Ramadan Campaign is our biggest, busiest, most exciting time of the year where we raise essential funds to alleviate poverty around the world. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. We have made great progress in helping to halve extreme poverty in the last 15 years, but we still need your help. Over the past decade, we’ve welcomed and worked with over 5,000 dedicated volunteers, who have served over one million people! As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to serve and uplift the community, leaving a lasting mark during Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar. Every year we try to put on weekly events during Ramadan that embody a Feminist Islam and provide an alternative to patriarchal norms. You will support people to access healthcare and overcome barriers, providing much-needed practical support. Your time will be split working in our Stratford (East London) Clinic, Outreach Services in East London, and on our remote Advice Line. Volunteers at Al Rahmah Masjid represent a wide range of ages, ethnicities, education levels, and professional and life experiences, all of which enrich the quality of our programmes and services. We recognise their efforts and value their commitment to their chosen fields. Volunteering is a great form of sadaqah. It is hugely beneficial both to the muslim community and wider British society we seek to serve through the centre. This milestone was achieved in some of Britain’s most cherished cultural venues, highlighting the project’s commitment to fostering community, inclusivity, and cultural exchange during Ramadan.
