Public holidays apply to both the private and public sector in the UAE. A public holiday may not be carried forward if it falls on the same date as another public holiday or a weekend. This won’t be a problem in 2025 as none of the Islamic holidays will overlap with either of the holidays tied to the Gregorian calendar.
